th, 2013 marked the first annual get together
for the
Facebook community
Disc Golfers of Michigan. It was day full of family,
barbecuing, swimming, and of course disc golfing. Disc golf is a great stress
reliever, and is also a good workout. Socially,
disc golfing is an excellent
way to meet new people. The sport of disc golfing is one that is growing
rapidly, and if the Disc Golfers of Michigan can help accommodate the growth of
a great sport, then they will do what they can. Even if it means bribing their
community with food.

Food really was an after-thought the day of the first annual Disc Golfers of Michigan Summer Barbecue. A group of five discers braved the wilds of the
Reed Park disc golf course. Everybody shot well and had a good time, and nobody lost a
disc.

The little get together was small for the first annual Disc
Golfers of Michigan Summer Barbecue, but
Ryan Minikey, creator of Disc Golfers
of Michigan, is hoping that the event helps his Facebook community grow. Everyone
is welcome to join the
Disc Golfers of Michigan community, and always for free.
